Hi! I’m Lauryn (she/her)
Reaching out for therapeutic support is a courageous step. I am honored to support you in the next steps of your therapeutic journey. In our sessions together, you will have a confidential and compassionate space to process thoughts, feelings, concerns, and fears. I will work with you to identify measurable goals to create a clear and achievable path. You are the authority of your own life. I will fully listen to the stories you share, and use the knowledge I’ve gained to reassure you and empower you. Through this process, we will ease difficult feelings, while strengthening confidence and calm.
I have over a decade of experience supporting adults and teens managing complex and developmental trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I became certified in Integrative Mental Health Care in 2024. My greatest reward as a therapist is supporting clients in finding their own process, recognizing their strengths, and looking forward to the future with confidence and hope.
Our Time Together:
I choose to be real and vulnerable about who I am so we can build a trusting relationship together. Sometimes I’ll cry with you. Sometimes I’ll cuss with you. Hopefully we can also find some laughs along the way. I can be overly animated (no stoic “therapy face” here!). During our tele-health sessions you will meet my house plants and maybe hear my cats in the background. You may not get my whole life story (we are here for YOU!), but you won’t have to wonder about what I believe or what I’m thinking. You can rely on my unconditional support of you.
My clinical approach is informed by cultural humility and social justice. The commitment to exploring and dismantling internalized white supremacy on both a personal and professional level is an integral part of my clinical work and training. I recognize the long-standing barriers for BIPOC to access therapy as well as the impact of systemic racism, inequities, and discrimination. Improving BIPOC access to culturally-informed mental health care is vital. In our work together, I invite conversations about how my whiteness impacts our therapeutic relationship and work.
