Therapy Services
Providing quality tele-health support in Ohio and Georgia.
Hi, I’m Lauryn, MSW, LISW-S (she/her)
Reaching out for therapeutic support is a courageous step. I am honored to support you in the next steps of your therapeutic journey. I help adults heal from trauma and anxiety so they can feel safer, more grounded, and more in control of their lives.
I have over a decade of experience supporting adults, seniors, and teens managing complex and developmental trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I became certified in Integrative Mental Health Care in 2024. My greatest reward as a therapist is supporting clients in finding their own process, recognizing their strengths, and looking forward to the future with confidence and hope.
Our Time Together:
Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start. We won’t rush the process or push you to revisit things before you’re ready. Instead, we focus first on helping your mind and body feel safer and more stable.
My approach is collaborative, with a strong focus on nervous system regulation. I integrate practical tools you can use in your daily life with deeper therapeutic work, so you’re not just talking about your experiences—you’re learning how to feel differently in your body over time. From there, we gently begin to process what you’ve been carrying—at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your experience. Together, we create a clear path forward so therapy feels supportive, not overwhelming.
I choose to be real and vulnerable about who I am so we can build a trusting relationship together. Sometimes I’ll cry with you. Sometimes I’ll cuss with you. Hopefully we can also find some laughs along the way. I can be overly animated (no stoic “therapy face” here!). You’re always welcome to ask questions to get to know me too. A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. You can rely on my unconditional support of you.
Clinical Approach:
-
ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
In this first stage, your therapist will gather information about your history, current symptoms, and overall functioning. Based on this information, your therapist will determine an accurate diagnosis, and work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES
There are a number of evidenced-based practices that are effective in helping individuals manage symptoms of stress and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are just a few examples.
HOLISTIC SUPPORT
Healing for anxiety goes beyond talk-therapy. Sessions will also focus on your overall well-being. This might include exercise, nutrition psychoeducation, relaxation techniques, and stress management strategies.
RELAPSE PREVENTION:
Anxiety can be a persistent, but therapy provides you with tools to manage it effectively in the long term. You’ll learn coping mechanisms, develop healthy habits, and create an aftercare plan to support lasting success.

STABILIZATION AND SAFETY
The stage focuses on establishing a sense of safety and stability. It may involve teaching coping skills and grounding techniques to manage distressing symptoms, addressing immediate safety concerns, and creating a supportive therapeutic environment. Stabilization can also include a referral for medication management, if necessary, to alleviate severe symptoms or co-occurring mental health conditions.
PSYCHOEDUCATION
Education about trauma and its effects is a crucial aspect of treatment. Psychoeducation helps individuals better understand their experiences, normalize their responses, and reduce self-blame and shame.
TRAUMA-FOCUSED THERAPIES
The core of trauma treatment often involves evidence-based therapies specifically designed to address trauma-related issues. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) are widely used. CBT helps individuals identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs related to the trauma. On the other hand, EMDR focuses on reprocessing traumatic memories to reduce their emotional intensity.
