Mindful Practices*

Mindfulness can change the physiology of the body and brain in ways that strengthen, heal and protect. Mindfulness has been proven to lower stress and anxiety, reduce physical pain, improve sleep quality, and restore emotional balance.

Mindfulness is a moment-by-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings and sensations.

In these sessions your therapist will guide you through Mindful Practices, and teach realistic ways to implement these skills in your day-to-day routine.

MEDITATION

Practicing mindfulness meditation to increase present-moment awareness and promote relaxation.

BREATHING EXERCISES

Focusing on deep breathing techniques to regulate emotions and reduce anxiety.

BODY SCANS

Systematically directing attention to different parts of the body to promote relaxation and body awareness.

*Mindfulness sessions are often not covered by insurance, and require out-of-pocket pay
