What to expect:
ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
In this first stage, your therapist will gather information about your history, current symptoms, and overall functioning. Based on this information, your therapist will determine an accurate diagnosis, and work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES
There are a number of evidenced-based practices that are effective in helping individuals manage symptoms of stress and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are just a few examples.
HOLISTIC SUPPORT
Healing for anxiety goes beyond talk-therapy. Sessions will also focus on your overall well-being. This might include exercise, nutrition psychoeducation, relaxation techniques, and stress management strategies.
RELAPSE PREVENTION:
Anxiety can be a persistent, but therapy provides you with tools to manage it effectively in the long term. You’ll learn coping mechanisms, develop healthy habits, and create an aftercare plan to support lasting success.
